Senior Day Celebration

Penn State defeated Clarion on Sunday, February 23 as they wrapped up their 2014 season in Rec Hall. Seniors, David Taylor, Ed Ruth, and James English wrestled one last time in front of a sold out home crowd.

James English made a season debut in the 149-weight class and Jimmy Lawson returned to the heavyweight bout. The Nittany Lions won nine of ten bouts in the dominating win, including three tech falls and three pins.

PSU finished the season with a record of 15-1 and 7-1 in the conference. They remain No.1 in the rankings and are now preparing for the Big Ten Championship.

The 2014 Big Ten Championships will be held at the University of Wisconsin’s Kohl Center. The two-day event is Saturday, March 8 and Sunday, March 9. First session Saturday begins at 11 a.m. and second session at 6 p.m. Then starts up again Sunday at 12 p.m.
