Winter Sports are Back in Happy Valley
Well, football season is quickly coming to an end; the Nittany Lions only have 8 more quarters in Beaver Stadium, but don’t let the end of Penn State football stop you from coming out to visit University Park!
Football season may be ending, but another sport’s season is just beginning! Penn State is the home to 31 sports in the Big Ten, so there are plenty of other amazing teams here that need your support too!
Men’s and Women’s Hockey
The Pegula Ice Arena is the new home to the Penn State Nittany Lions men’s and woman’s hockey teams. Come check out a game if you haven’t yet! With the capacity to hold a little over 6,000 fans including a student section fit for 1,000 students, it’s a college hockey experience like no other.

Wrestling
Some people aren’t aware of how awesome our wrestling team really is! Going into this year’s 2013-2014 season, the Nittany Lions are three time defending NCAA and Big Ten champions! Returning this year and notable wrestlers to watch, senior Ed Ruth and grad student, David Taylor. Also pay close attention to junior brothers, Andrew and Dylan Alton. Why not come out and support the team?

Women’s Basketball
Last year the Lady Lions captured the title of Big Ten 2013 champions and also became the twelfth program in NCAA Division I history to reach 850 wins. They started off their 2013-2014 season with wins against both St. Fancis and Fordham. Senior Maggie Lucas returns with hopes of leading the team to the NCAA tournament in March!

The Nittany Lions began their 2013- 2014 season with a win over Wagner. Fifth year senior, Tim Frazier is bringing some attention to the Lions with his potential to become an NBA candidate.
