For The Kids

This Saturday Penn State is combining two of our favorite things: THON and football! Tomorrow’s noon game against Illinois is a gold out! The gold out is giving Penn State, as well as Penn State fans, the opportunity to spread pediatric cancer awareness. Now you’re not expected to go out and buy a gold t-shirt but perhaps you could purchase something small, such as a gold ribbon! There are so many ways to show your support so use your creativity!

The Four Diamonds families will attend the game and The Four Diamonds children will help welcome the Penn State Nittany Lions into Beaver Stadium. The families will also be presented during a special THON half time show. The “Ribbon- zone” will make its debut right next to the usual “S-zone”.

They also help cover expenses that may disrupt the welfare of the child, such as car repairs, rent, or household utilities. The Four Diamonds Fund also supports the medical team that cares for the children and funds pediatric cancer research.

Canners will be out and about prior to the game so make sure to look for them! Even a small donation will help us beat last year’s total of $12,374,034.46 and bring us one step closer to a cure for pediatric cancer.

If you’re still looking for ways to contribute to THON and you’re social networking savvy, https://psupledge.com/ might be the perfect option for you. PSU Pledge allows people to pledge via twitter. Every time you tweet a small amount is pledged and at the end of THON weekend 100% of your pledge total goes to the Penn State IFC/PanHellenic Dance Marathon. (PSU Pledge can also credit your THON organization!) If you’re a frequent twitter user, why not try it out? You’re only one tweet away from making a difference.
